...with a CCS COBRA Cutting Extinguisher
The CCS COBRA Fire fighting and Rescue tool has been developed
in close co-operation with the Swedish Rescue Services Agency. COBRA
is now built into a number of different types of fire vehicles
- Aerials, Pumpers and even Jeeps.
The
COBRA-system is a unique and patented water cutting and fire
fighting system.
The
COBRA system is able to cut any materials - metals, concrete,
wood, glass.
COBRA
is a "cold cutting" tool - cutting without "hot
sparks". Cutting can be performed in flammable and explosive
areas.
Fire
Fighting performance
The DIAJET nozzle and a water pressure of 4.500psi - creates
a "fog" of fine droplets. This makes COBRA an efficient
tool for fire fighting. The DYNASET high pressure water pump
is hydaulically operated. The capacity of the standard pump
is 12 gallons per minut at 4.500 psi.
The
COBRA system
- is patented in Sweden and there is a number of patents pending
in USA, Canada, and Japan.
The
patented DYNASET high pressure water pump is powered by a hydraulic
system in the Fire Engine. The COBRA equipment includes as well
an abrasive bottle, a hose reel for up to 350 feet of 1/2"
hose and a special Lance for cutting and extinguishing.
The
patented DIAJET nozzle is accelerating the water/abrasive mixture,
by a patented jetting technique.
Through
this technique the power of the water pump is efficiently used
to create the necessary cutting force. The mixture of water
with an abbrasive is given an enormous energy - sufficient to
cut any type of construction material as i.e.steel and concrete.
