Fire Rescue Vehicle
The vehicle is equipped with a hydraulic system, which powers the patented 300 bar high-pressure water pump and the COBRA equipment but also the hydraulic power tools.
There are 300 litre (70 gallons) water tanks, an abrasive cylinder and a foam container as well as 80 m (250 feet) of high-pressure water hose to complete the COBRA fire fighting system.
Additional equipment includes; medical kit, navigation and communication system, alarm and alert systems, personal protective gear etc. |

Fire Fighting with the CCS COBRA
The water jetting technique for cutting is producing a spray and fog, which has an enormous cooling and extinguishing effect.
Once inside the opening in the building (or inside any other construction, which is on fire) the water sprays the environment with a fine mist, which expands -1.640 times!- when transforming into vapour and thus displacing oxygen.
The mist and vapour has the secondary beneficial effect of cooling the environment and aiding in extinguishing the fire.
There are several studies published from full-scale tests carried out by university of Lund Department of Fire Research covering the features of CCS COBRA as a fire extinguisher.
